TeBe 3:1 (3:1) Hansa Rostock II

Team: Hampf - Schmidt - Eckl, Schalle (74. Gottlieb) - Petrowsky - Weidner, Lemcke (58. Köttig), Kadow, Galic - Vuckovic (81. Selanci), Fuß.

Att: 330.

Sorry the delay in posting but I was having so internet problems earlier. General thoughts:

- The state of the pitch gave me the impression that the match was going to be a scrappy one that could go eaither way. In fact TeBe were the far better team.

- The team managed to play some very nice passing moves and seemed extremely fit and well prepared. This again was a nice surprise considering it was 3 months since the last league match! Perhaps at times we did look a bit rusty but still all in all very positive.

- Rostock must have had at least 50 fans making 330 a disappointing fan turnout for TeBe, especially as we had a fair few guest fans supporting us as well.

- It was great to be able to watch live league matches again.

Thats about it. The second half was as to be expected pretty standard for a 3-1 lead. Chance on both sides but nothing to write home about.

Finally football.... no way is that the pitch? Posted by Picasa

Perhaps we could have just had a snowman competition... but all the fans and players seemed to be relieved just to watch football.

A fair number of "Fish head" fans turn out for the game. After the silliness of our away fans at the last time we both met, the Rostock fans have something to prove. Posted by Picasa

Well with the match only being confirmed in the afternoon this was a good away turnout. Hansa have a lot of fans in Berlin and now their A team is no longer in the Bundesliga, I am sure a few fans have got interested in the Oberliga. The toilet paper didnt really work on the white snow though.

Some amazingly entertaining passing and 4 goals made for a great first half. Posted by Picasa

Well expecting a 50-50 game I was very impressed as TeBe were the much better team.

Some nice passing moves from us kept the ball in their half and we made them look lost at the back many times.

The second half was a bit boring to be fair and the fans started to amuse themselves with song, dance and many a drunken chat.

Rostock Fans Get Naked. Posted by Picasa

Some E Block regulars were a bit disappointed that the Rostocker got our block due to the police's demand for a seperation of the fans. In the end I was pleased to see the spirit of Block E upheld by our guests with some naked male bonding.

Very good indeed and thanks for the laughs.

It's Time

Tonight football begins again:

Fr, 03.03.2006 | 19.30 | Mommsenstadion
Tennis Borussia - Hansa Rostock II

Note: The police wish the fans to be seperated. Therefore TeBe fans are requested to use Block D, our beloved Block E goes to the Away Support. This is strange as last year almost no away fans were actually present and hopefully this isnt a sign that the police think the match might be visited by some lunatics from Berlin.
